'Megh Roddurer Khela' in 'Ei Sharate'

Ei Sharate Pratham’ is going to be the name of the first-ever Sharadiya-issue of BANGLA KAGAJ, edited by Dr. Kalyan Roy, a renowned doctorate personality involved with multidimensional creative activities. I’m absolutely delighted to share here that my family-story entitled, MEGH RODDURER KHELA has been selected for publication in this issue after facing a rigorous review process. I wholeheartedly wish my very best to Dr. Roy for deciding to coin such an issue, which, as I firmly believe, is certainly going to draw attention to thousands of Bengali readers with its tremendous quality and reader-friendly price.

New Publication

THE COVER PAGE

A short story entitled ‘Lokti…` (The Man…) is the latest of all my publications till date. It appeared in the June-2013 issue of ‘Samasamayik Bangla`. It is a story based on the inner mental battle of a middle-aged married and educated woman, who, while standing in a queue at Esplanade to collect the bus-ticket for her return journey to Durgapur, found a man, quite a gentle one in look and attitude. Immediately on finding him, the woman became thrilled because he seemed to be very much known to her, as if she had seen him somewhere earlier. However, in spite of her continuous effort, in no way she could recognize him. Afterward they had the journey together in the same bus. During the journey, the woman was alone, but the man was accompanied by his wife, children, parents-in-law, and brother-in-law. Also, during the final part of the journey, the man shared the same double-seat with the woman. He had a brief formal talk to her too. Even then the woman could not recognize him. The mental battle of the woman maximized with her destination coming nearer. But finally, just before getting down from the bus, the woman could. Who was the man?
