WRONG ROUTE is one of my recently written stories that is going to get published in the forthcoming Book Fair issue of AALAPPARBA. It is a novelette. It was indeed a fascinating experience for me to design and write this script, because it was entirely based on Birpara Tea Estate at Dooars where I myself passed all my childhood days. I strongly hope that readers will find the underlying story in WRONG ROUTE quite an appealing one.  

My TRIBHUJ in DU-KOOL in January-2014

It is my extreme pleasure and huge satisfaction to share with all of you that my new story entitled, TRIBHUJ has been accepted for publication in the forthcoming January-issue of the USA-based monthly magazine DU-KOOL. Like in every month, the January-issue will be coined on the 21^st day of that month. I am really looking forward for this publication of such an international exposure. TRIBHUJ symbolizes a decades-old pure friendship of three kids absolutely of different socio-economic levels. One of those three reportedly being no more alive now, is it at all possible for the TRIBHUJ to be still alive? To get the reply, take a look at TRIBHUJ in DU-KOOL in its January-issue.

MY DREAM PROJECT

If everything goes alright, my second book on Bengali literature, this time as a collection of 15 short or medium-sized stories, is going to be published under the banner of UJJWAL SAHITYA MANDIR, Kolkata. This latest project of mine is consisting of around 15-16 stories, most of which have been published here and there in last one year or so. This is an attempt to present these selected stories to readers on a single platform at very affordable price, expectedly below Rs. 100/-. RODDURER DALI THEKE is planned to be the first story that is going to be included in it. Hence it is planned to coin the book with RODDURER DALI THEKE as the title. Hopefully the product will be launched well before the next Book Fair.

CHORABALI in 'Udar Akash'

I am absolutely delighted to state that 'Chorabali', one of my very special long stories gets published in 'Udar Akash', a Peer Reviewed Bilingual Research Journal (Vol. 12, Issue 2, Eid-Sarad Festival Issue 2013, ISSN 2320-3498). In this regard, I wholeheartedly put my sincere thanks to its Editorial Team led by Faruque Ahamed, the Editor. The issue is available @ Rupees 100/- at Patiram, College Street.

PROFESSOR SAHEB

My story entitled ‘Professor Saheb’ is going to be published in the forthcoming Sharadiya issue of ‘Ek Tukro Akash’, a Jalpaiguri-based little magazine edited by Ms. Shaunli Dey. I strongly expect that readers of ‘Ek Tukro Akash’ would find the story quite interesting. I express my gratitude to the Editorial Committee for accepting the script for publication. I wish for a wide publicity of this patrika.

My humorous short story entitled, ‘Nataa Panch’ (which means 9.05 o’clock) gets published in July-2013 issue of ‘Aajker Din’, a Kolkata-based popular commercial Bengali magazine. A few months ago, in its March-2013 issue, this magazine had published my short Bengali thriller entitled, ‘Ek Chilte Roddur’. I wish my all the best to ‘Aajker Din’.
